limited rooms available for Christmas and New Year
Kettlewell is a small Upper Wharfedale village half an hours drive from Skipton. The village has three pubs, a post office, general store and a garage.
The Racehorses hotel is situated at the southern end of the village,
over Town Foot bridge, bounded on two of its four sides by water.
The Park Gill Beck runs through the centre of the village and to
the south of the Hotel.
To the west runs the River Wharfe, dominating the dale. The hotel also has a new picturesque beer garden overlooking the River Wharfe.
Held tightly in the grip of the Pennine crags, Kettlewell is a haven for travellers between Wharfedale and Wensleydale, and for climbers and walkers exploring some of the finest parts of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Its steep surroundings have prevented any sprawling growth and it's buildings still cluster by Park Gill, near where it joins the River Wharfe beside the Racehorses Hotel.

Thanks to Kevin and staff for a fantastic weekend. Take no notice of the poor reviews and the negative traveller photos are not representative of the rooms at all. Room was lovely; King size bed, river view and an excellent modern shower too. We were so impressed that we have decided to come back in the Summer with friends as Kevin showed us all the other rooms in the hotel. The staff here are so accommodating and made our stay extra special. As soon as I can work out how to load photos I will gladly post them on the site.

We stayed for two nights over the new year period 8 members of the family, this was our second stay of the year. The staff make you feel very welcome and cant do enough for you, food was excellent, lovely rooms and a cracking good atmosphere all which made our new years break a brilliant time. Oh and we took our dog Mollie where the landlord always made a fuss off, she loved it.
Cant wait to go back again this year.
